Mepet started operation on March 22, 1999. It carries on its activities in energy sector with petrol stations and in service and tourism sector with roadhouses. While Mepet operates in the retail sales within the energy sector, it sells various fuel oil and petrol products to its customers at the petrol stations it owns or operate on the road sides and also offers the sale of fuel, LPG and mineral oil products at 23 fuel stations it owns and operates.

It hosts more than 35 million customers yearly at the service points. It provides its customers with hospitality, accommodation and all sorts of needs at these stations and its facilities across various regions, as part of tourism service sector. Mepet delivers services at 45 roadhouses in 25 locations for the bus passengers, private car passengers and long-distance drivers and offers different alternatives to its guests.

There are 70 businesses in various criteria, at these roadhouses (restaurants, markets, cafes, mechanic, car wash, etc.). Accommodation and roadhouse facilities have some businesses where the needs, such as food, basic supplies and provisions, tools and equipment, clothing, etc. can be met. Mepet ranks the first among the holding companies, with the last year’s turnover figure of nearly ₺400 million. Its paid-in capital is ₺75.350.000.
